Elebits Download Free WII Game

Games For: WII Game

Elebits begins with a misstep in the form of a poorly presented storyline. Beautiful hand drawn illustrations are timed to some of the dullest, give-me-my-paycheck-because-I’m-late-for-dinner voiceovers ever recorded. We learn of the Elebits, these pint-sized entities that provided the world with electricity until a child wished them away. Now, they’ve gone into hiding and taken the world’s source of power with them. It’s up to the aforementioned kid, armed with a capturing gun that manipulates gravity and is then able to zap the Elebits, to find the critters and put things right. The tale is simple and merely more of a quick setup for the action to follow than anything else, but the developer has stretched out these cinematics longer than they need to be and the monotone dialogue is sure to make you question whether or not the voices were provided by the programmers themselves.

To recapture all those wayward elebits, you’ll be using the capture gun to search through various areas around Kai’s house and town. The capture gun itself is capable of lifting objects in the environment and moving them. If you notice a desk lamp or a trash can shaking a bit, that probably means there are some elebits hiding underneath. Just move around with the Nunchuk’s control stick, aim your targeting reticle via the Wii Remote, press A or B to fire, and hold the button down to use the energy beam to grab hold of the object. From there, you just fling the object wherever you like and reveal those precious elebits. Once they’re revealed, you fire off quick shots at them to collect them. Of course, if all you did was pick up objects, shoot tiny creatures, and repeat, the game would become monotonous extremely quickly. It’s good, then, that there’s a touch more strategy to it than that.

The game controls very simply, just as you would think it to. You use the Remote to aim by pointing at the screen. When you reach the edges of the screen you turn in that direction. A or B acts as your fire button. You can press once to fire a beam to capture an Elebit or hold the button to grab an object then move the remote about to move the object about. If you let go of the button while moving, you can easily throw objects into the air. After playing for a while you will be able to catch things too.. Maybe a juggling game will be next! The nunchuck is used for moving (analog stick), ducking (Z) and going on tip-toes (C) for them awkward high to reach elebits. Some objects in the game require you to do more than just point at the screen. For example a tap in the kitchen will need you to twist your hand, as if turning a tap yourself, for the power elebits to start pouring out. Also the toaster needs a slice of bread to activate it..

Graphically, Elebits is very responsive, more like Trauma Centre than Red Steel, the framerate is high and only rarely drops when there is a lot happening on screen. The physics are the big star of the game. It’s literally possible to balance things of top of each other. The game looks great too, it doesn’t contain the frightening jaggies seen on early screenshots of the game.

(Also known as “Eledees”) A revolutionary game of hide and seek. Search high and low for mischievous little Elebits using the features of the Nintendo Wii controller to push, pull, lift, throw and interact with anything and everything in the environment. Full interactivity with any object…
