Barnyard Download Free WII Game

Games For: WII Game

In fact, even though we normally shy away from “all-in-one” games that attempt to give players a taste of everything, bombarding gamers with rushed mini-games and “extras”, Barnyard actually does a solid job on most of the bonus content. As the game progresses, players will have the chance to unlock a ton of different mini-game events. These events range from a chicken flying game to a racing challenge, gopher golf, billiards, darts, and whack-a-mole. In the end there are more than 20 events to check out (including both mini-games and in-game events), each with their own high score boards. A few of the games, such as the pool and driving mini-games, are a bit too stripped down, though many of the challenges simply utilize a simple gameplay hook (such as a timing-based dart game) to deliver simple entertainment. Mix those events in with the basic missions, having players gather food for cooking, ingredients for mock-tail drinks, or simply gathering items around the town to sell, and you’ve got a game that doesn’t necessarily play as tight as we’d like, but still delivers a ton of depth and variety.

The environment itself encompasses two farms and the surrounding areas. You can walk around, climb ladders, pick flowers, and ride a bicycle to get around more quickly. A few daredevil tricks can be performed while riding the bike, for no practical purpose except that it’s something else to do. Tree stumps in the environment are actually prize machines run by the gophers that spit out gopher bucks in exchange for prize tokens. At the barn, you can participate in parlor games and use the food items you’ve collected to make treats and mocktails, which can be given to the other animals or sold to the gophers for a huge profit. Numerous bike upgrades and barn decorations are available for purchase at the gopher shop. Although many of these decorations are purely for aesthetic purposes, some of them unlock additional parlor games, such as pool, darts, and whack-a-rac. This is a lighthearted sandbox-style game where you can watch the hours zip away as you do whatever you want, whenever you want.

The controls are also a pleasant surprise. You move around with the analog stick, but the camera is based completely around the Wiimote. If you move your reticule within a certain, invisible diameter, you can aim (for things like the aforementioned milk-squirting), but by moving it outside this circle, you’re able to turn around. Everything comes together pretty well, especially considering that lots of mini-games (like whack-a-mole), are perfectly suited to motion control.

As far as presentation goes, Barnyard is a mixed bag. There are a few lighting affects added to make the game look better, but the graphics are still pretty simple and don’t look much better than THQ’s efforts on the GameCube. However, the soundtrack is great if you like banjos and/or hoe-downs, and the voice acting isn’t too bad either.

Enter the world of Nickelodeon’s newest adventure and bring the Barnyard movie to life. Battle the coyote invaders, tee up for a game of golf, target the bull’s-eye with your flying chicken and race downhill on your speedy bike. Players can explore a fully interactive, 3-D world and prove…
